We asked, he answered! Meet MirroCool’s Founder, Wojchiech Kasycki, as we explore deeper into the mission, the vision and passion behind his newest exciting invention, a smart mirror and personal assistant, all-in-one!

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHO YOU ARE!

Hello and welcome to MirroCool! My name is Wojchiech and I am a passionate inventor, senior executive, investor and consultant from Poland. In my personal life, I am a husband and father of three sons. In my professional life, I have more than 20 years of experience in business and have been fortunate enough to work with people eager to invest time and money to let me create innovative projects. It all started with eCommerce, creating the first internet TV in our country (WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THIS INTERNET TV? WE SHOULD LIST IT). This is something that I am very proud of!

WHAT ARE YOU KNOWN FOR?

Those who know me know I never give up. Instead, I look for solutions when others simply “throw in the towel.” The word “impossible” is not in my vocabulary. I love working WITH people and FOR people to improve their quality of life. 

WHAT MADE YOU THINK: I NEED TO DEVELOP THIS PRODUCT?

Well, I am very busy. My day starts at 6:30 a.m. when I wake up my children and bring them to school. Then, I work until 4:00 p.m., pick them up and enjoy time with my family until it’s time to start all over again! With so much on my plate, it is important for me to be productive with my time. This involves using my calendar and to do apps for almost EVERYTHING!

Before, most of the time spent in the bathroom preparing for the day was essentially wasted and I wanted to make it useful – so I thought why not combine the functionality of a mirror with smart technology to make the most of it?

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE MIRROCOOL IN 2-5 WORDS?

Cutting-edge, high-tech, productive, exciting!

WHY IS NOW THE TIME FOR MIRROCOOL TO EXIST? WHAT GAP IS IT FILLING IN THE MARKET?

People are becoming more and more familiar with technology - they tend to use it everywhere, without exception. MirroCool is a great example of “Assisted Reality,” part of the widely recognized Augmented Reality trend. It will help you to start your day off right by providing personalized content in a useful way. It truly acts as your personal assistant and behaves how you want.

WHAT IS YOUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF MIRROCOOL?

Your face will be the digital key. Using facial recognition, MirroCool will allow you to access a wide range of functionality, introduce yourself, log in to your services, open or lock your door and so much more. That is just one component of MirroCool. 

The thing is – MirroCool is not ‘a toy’. Why occupy your living space with unnecessary objects when you can fill it with furniture, equipped with electronics, to offer more functionality? Instead of buying another dust collector, you’ll be able to accomplish so much more with our smart mirror. That is why MirroCool has bright future.

BESIDES MIRROCOOL, WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SMART HOME TECHNOLOGY?

A fuse. You can switch all “smart” in your home off and spend time with your family !
Seriously speaking, I think that WiFi was a game changer, because it offered the opportunity to connect many devices easily and make them work for you. I like watching films on Apple TV and am a big fan of Apple technology. Apple was the first company, in my opinion, to create usable and useful tech for ordinary people.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING?
The world needs me - it is in my blood (laughs). But honestly, my youngest son makes sure I do not sleep too long! 
I am very lucky to do things that I love, believe in and earn money doing. Each new day is a challenge and experience. I might just be addicted to it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT WHEN YOU’RE ALONE IN THE CAR?

How not to get caught by the police (laughs) - I like driving! My current car has almost 600-hp and that makes it a masterpiece. But, as I mentioned before, I am multithreaded – driving makes me happy and gives a positive mood, what I use to think what I will do when I reach my destination ;) WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THIS?

IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND, WHAT TWO ITEMS WOULD YOU BRING AND WHY?

Definitely my Kindle and iPod. I am too loud to be alone there for a long time ;).
